Nigerian forward Asisat Oshoala and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie have emerged as finalists for the 2023 CAF Women’s Player of the Year award.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) unveiled the shortlist on Monday through an official statement on their website.
Oshoala, who secured the award for a record fifth time in 2022, is now positioned to clinch a historic sixth win.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Nnadozie, having showcased her skills at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, stands a chance of claiming her first Player of the Year award, and she is also nominated for Goalkeeper of the Year.
The Super Falcons are also in contention for Team of the Year, with Randy Waldrum nominated for Coach of the Year.
The Awards Gala is scheduled for Monday, December 11, 2023.
