As part of efforts to create and enhance a veritable police-collaboration with Nigerians based on mutual respect and understanding, the inspector General of police, Ibrahim Idris today laid the foundation of the Nigeria police public relations school at Kulende in Ilorin the Kwara state capital.
Speaking at the event, Idris said public relation officers, who are saddled with the responsibility of standing in the gap for police, must be equipped with the skills and competence to carry out their assignments.
He however commended the president of federal republic on Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari , the emir of Ilorin, and good people of kwara state and the Ilorin emirate descendant progress union for their support.
The host of the event, the Kwara state commissioner of police, Bashiru Makama charged the provost of the school to ensure effective utilization of the school amenities when completed
Speaking at the event, the emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Zulu Gambari who was represented by the Balogun of Gambari, Alhaji Adebayo Aliyu commended federal government for the initiative.
