Residents in Kwara state have pledged support for the Nigeria Labour Congress to embark on a protest, hoping the protest will enable the government change the policies which have made life difficult for them.
It could be recalled that the NLC has started mobilization of members ahead of the planned striker on Wednesday August 2, 2023.
In her reaction, Mrs Tolulope Salami stated the nationwide strike might help the situation if only the government are ready to listen to the plead and agony of her citizens.
Owolabi Samson, a civil servant in his ordeal lamented that high cost of living, hike in price of fuel, school fees, foodstuffs is making life difficult for the masses, adding that the government should look for a way to reduce the cost of commodities before the commencement of the strike.
While Mrs. Julia noted that the strike make people idle, stating that citizens that receive wages will be affected.
