The Minister of Information & National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has described President Bola Tinubu’s first one hundred days in office as a time dedicated to sowing the seeds for national transformation, growth, and comprehensive development.
This was contained in a statement released on Tuesday in which Idris detailed the President’s journey to rebuild the nation’s battered economy, including steps to unify the multiple foreign exchange markets.
Idris also reiterated the government’s intervention programmes aimed at cushioning the unintended negative impacts of the economic reforms before adding that the government has set up a Tax and Fiscal Reforms Committee that is fully at work to deepen the ongoing reforms and reposition the national economy for long-term sustainability.
According to Royaltimes, the minister appealed to Nigerians and the labour unions to continue to support the government and show more understanding.
