The Defence Headquarters has said that troops in the last two weeks intercepted stolen crude worth one point two billion naira as Nigeria’s oil production capacity increased in September.
The Director, Defence Media Operations, Edward Buba said this on Thursday in Abuja while briefing newsmen on the activities of the Military in the past two weeks and vowed to incapacitate terrorists from conducting small-scale attacks on soft targets.
He also said troops, during their operations, killed seventy three terrorists, arrested one hundred and eighty two and rescued sixty eight hostages in one week.
Meanwhile, the improved fight against oil theft had increased Nigeria’s production capacity in September to one point seven million barrels per day, up from the one point one million barrels per day, MBPD, recorded in August.
