Manchester United is looking at a surprise transfer for former Chelsea striker Timo Werner.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a loan move to a number of interested clubs in January including Real Madrid, but German sources claim the player will prefer to finish the season at RB Leipzig before making a permanent move.
Werner is believed to be dissatisfied with the way things are going at Leipzig despite only having rejoined the side from Chelsea in 2022.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are keen to strengthen their attack and have made inquiries about Werner’s availability, but there has not yet been an offer or any negotiations at this stage.
