As part of its corporate social responsibility, the International Association of Lions Clubs, Kwara/Oyo Axis on Saturday embarked on a free screening and testing today, for residents in Kwara and its environs.

The international organization had earlier on Friday embarked on a walk on major roads in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, to create awareness on the dangers of Diabetes, the need for people to know their medical status and subsequently manage it.

The Axis Coordinator, Lion Abdulsalam Olabisi, at the venue of the humanitarian service, promised that the organisation will continue to extend hands of service to the entire Kwara region.

Early comers at the venue of the screening and testing awaiting their turn.

The Deputy Axis Coordinator, Lion Oluwakayode Jegede (NLCF) also said the awareness will continue on social media and other available platforms till the end of Lions year.

Clubs in the axis include Ilorin Central, Ilorin Royal, Ilorin Metropolitan, Ilorin Golden, Ogbomosho Ajilete, Ogbomosho Crown, Ogbomosho City, Offa Unity Lions Clubs and Leo Clubs in the axis.
