RoyalFM 10th Anniversary: Adebayo Appreciates Kwara Govt, Emir, Citizens

The Founder and Chairman, Royal Media Group, Engineer Gbenga Adebayo, has commended the government of Kwara state,  the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Zulu Gambari, and all residents of the state for the warm reception accorded to Royal FM 95.1 when it started operations in Kwara.

 

Adebayo made the commendation on Friday, while addressing newsmen in Ilorin, Kwara state capital, at a press conference to herald Royal FM radio’s 10th anniversary.

 

Engineer Adebayo, who expressed joy as the private radio station clocks ten, by December 12, said the feat is worth celebrating considering the series of challenges confronting media operations, and the way RoyalFM has not only surmounted the challenges, but also expanded its operations.

 

The media proprietor announced that the Royal Media group has now secured the licence from the National Broadcasting Commission to commence television operation as the first private Television station in Kwara state, which he said will commence in the first quarter of 2022.

 

While appreciating all journalists in the state for their support during the press briefing held at the International Media Centre, Ilorin the home of Royal FM 95.1, Royal Television Service and Royal Times Online.

 

Adebayo who believes in investing in people has also got the licence for Royal FM Kaduna and Royal FM asaba in delta state said the media group will continue to recognise and respect and adhere to high level of ethical conduct as acceptable to the Broadcasting industry and audience alike.

 

Adebayo also appreciated the NBC for counting Royal FM worthy of the new licenses as he pledged to continue to be a leading example in the indigenous broadcasting industry by upholding all the principles of good journalism.

 

The Kwara born enterpreneur admitted there are challenges confronting citizens in Nigeria, but said we must all strive to persevere, give rebirth a chance and believe Nigeria can be a better place to live in.
