Labour Party calls for fervent prayers to restore peace in Nigeria

Labour Party calls for fervent prayers to restore peace in Nigeria

As  Muslim faithful celebrate Eid-el-Fitri festivities, the National Chairman of the Labour Party, Dr Mike Omotosho, has urged Nigerians to cultivate love, peace, tolerance and charity to one another. He regretted that some parts of the country have been ensnared in crises arising from herdsmen and farmers clashes, insurgency, kidnapping and other social vices largely due to the inability to cherish peace and love.

Dr Omotosho, in a statement issued from his media office in Ilorin explained that  Nigeria needs peace and tranquility to attain greater opportunities and in turn enable the citizens to unleash their potentials for the good of the nation.

The Labour Party Chairman stated that peaceful coexistence has been sacrificed on the altar of ethnic jingoism, religious leanings and political affiliations for long and should not be allowed to persist because of their negative implications on our common bond.

Dr Omotosho therefore admonished  Muslim faithful to pray fervently for restoration and sustenance of peace and tranquility in troubled parts of the country, saying the nation cannot achieve greatness without peace.
