Kwara state PDP on Thursday lamented poor road conditions in the Ilorin metropolitan areas and the security fears in the State of Harmony citing cases of kidnapping that have continued to get recorded in the state.
The state Publicity Secretary, Prince Tunji Morounfoye in a statement said the party ‘can only watch in complete sadness as governance in Kwara state is now in free fall’.
The statement noted that Kwarans are totally appalled by the state of infrastructural decay and lack of attention from the Kwara state All progressives Congress (APC) regime adding that the poverty level and the security situation in the state is horrible and depressing saying Kidnappings are now a daily occurrence in Kwara state.
The party equally accused Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of placing ‘national assignment’ as Governors’ forum Chairman, above the running of affairs of Kwara state.
The statement also pointed out that roads are filled with potholes and mountain of garbage has taken over every road while daily running of the state has to wait until the governor ‘has time’ for Kwara state.
