The people of Kwara State have been thrown into mourning following the death of two leading lights of the State – Justice Sikiru Oyinloye and Dr Ajeigbe Issa.
While Oyinloye, a High Court Judge died on Sunday after a brief illness, Issa, a lecturer at the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, died in his sleep on Monday.
In a condolence message, Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, described as painful and a great loss the death of Justice Oyinloye.
According to the governor, the government joins the Kwara State Judiciary and the Nigerian bar to mourn the unfortunate death of Hon. Justice Oyinloye, a very upright and brilliant judge.
Issa was until his death the Head of Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education and the acting director of Sports at KWASU. As reported by our correspondent, Olarotimi Oshin, the deceased lecturer has since been buried in Budo-Egba, Asa local government area of the state.
