Chairman, Transition Implementation Committee, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Jide Shonibare has been charged to always ensure that facilities under his watch are properly managed.
This was part of the resolutions of the House, after considering the report of Ad-hoc Committee titled “Petition Against TIC Chairman, Ifelodun Local Government, Mr Jide Shonibare presented by Deputy Speaker, Raphael Adetiba during Tuesday plenary.
The TIC Chairman was alleged to have withheld Seven point Five Perkins Generating Set reportedly meant for Oke-Oyan Basic Health Hospital.The petition was written and signed by one Alhaji Alasi Sikiru on behalf of the Community.
Mr. Adetiba representing Oke-Ero Constituency observed that the Generating Set was part of Health Equipment provided by Federal Government for health facilities across Seven Hundred and Seventy-Four Local Governments in the Country of which Oke-Oyan Basic Health Centre was a beneficiary .
Adetiba noted that while the Ad-hoc Committee was on oversight to the Health Centre in Oke-Oyan,Ile Ire District ,the facility looked abandoned and unkept even as he described some of the submissions of the TIC Chairman during the Committee’s investigation as unsatisfactory .
Reading the resolutions of the House, Speaker, Engineer Yakubu Salihu urged Ifelodun Local Government TIC Chairman, Jide Shonibare to tidy up Oke-Oyan Basic Health Centre before installing the Generating Set at the Hospital for the benefits of the people of area.
