Kwara Fire Service recovers two bodies, Toyota Car from river

The Kwara State Fire Service has recovered two bodies and a Toyota Yaris car from a river opposite the Olusola Saraki Abbatoir along Sobi Road in Ilorin today.

In a statement signed and released to newsmen by the Head of Department Media and Publicity, Kwara State Fire Service- Hassan ADEKUNLE, the victims were struggling to drive through the bridge during Friday’s heavy downpour before getting stuck by the flood which eventually pushed them into the river.

He added that the Director of the Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa thanked the residents of the neighbourhood who helped the firemen in their operation and urged the general public to avoid driving during heavy rainfalls.
