Home-based Super Eagles players are unhappy with the handling of their preparation for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco.
according to report gathered the team was expected to jet out to Rabat , Morocco this Wednesday for the final lap of their preparation for the biennial competition designed for players plying their trade in their countries’ domestic leagues but are still in the country and are now unaware of the new travel date.
Two of Nigeria’s Group C opponents, Rwanda and Libya, have set up camp in Tunisia ahead of the competition.
Salisu Yusuf’s charges only began camping early December ahead of the Nigeria Professional Football League invitational tournament in Kano and have engaged lower league and amateur clubs in friendly games.
“We don’t know when we will be travelling to Morocco for the training tour anymore. I doubt it if our coaches are aware too,” one of the players disclosed this on the condition of anonymity.
the player while complaining of the lackadaisical of the NFF and technical team stated that other countries in their group are playing top quality friendlies and are training outside their country to get acclimatized with the weather in Morocco but they are not doing the same.
“Whatever the situation, we will do our best in Morocco, but we must learn to do things right.”
CHAN will start on January 13 and end on February 4.
