The Kwara State government has clarified the sharing of palliatives among the residents of the state following an outcry to the sharing of truckloads of rice to its residents in the past weeks.
Recall that residents have criticized the state government, noting that the quantity of food received as palliatives is small and not enough for the masses.
Speaking to RoyalFM News on the sharing formula, the Chief Press Secretary to the Kwara State Government, Rafiu Ajakaye clarified that the palliatives are targeted at the vulnerable individuals in the state.
When quizzed on the parameters of selection, Ajakaye stated that community leaders as well as religion leaders were tasked with the responsibility of identifying the most vulnerable individuals in the community.
