Federal Government Secures Over One Hundred Million Dollars Loan From African Development Bank For Wheat Production

Vice President Kashim Shettima has disclosed that the African Development Bank (ADB) has agreed to loan Nigeria one hundred and sixty-three million dollars to support wheat production in the coming weeks.

Dailypost gathered that the Vice President confirmed the loan in Argungu, Kebbi State during a condolence visit to the family of late Sheikh Abubakar Giro.

Commenting on the food security policy of the government, the vice president said the government needs ten thousand hectares of land in Kebbi State, noting that the scheme would be well executed in Jigawa State with a cultivation of fifty thousand hectares of land to boost wheat production.”
