Erstwhile National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,Mohammed Bello Haliru alongside his son, Abba have pleaded not guilty to the four count charge levelled against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Haliru who arrived a Federal High Court in Abuja alongside his son are standing trial on a four count charge bordering on Money laundering and diversion of funds.
The duo were alleged to have collected N300million from former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
The prosecution counsel in the course of the trial prayed the court to remand Mohammed and his son in prison pending when a date for trial is set, but was opposed by the defence counsel who asked that the accused be granted bail.
