Christian Association of Nigeria felicitates with Muslims on Eid-el-Fitr

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has rejoiced with Nigerian Muslims over the successful completion of the Ramadan period which involved purification through fasting and seeking for blessings and forgiveness from the Almighty God, the creator of mankind.

In a Ramadan message by CAN President, Reverend Dr Samson Olasupo Ayokunle on behalf of Nigerian Christian body expressed its determination and commitment to collaborate with the leadership of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) to promote peaceful co-existence among adherents of the nation’s two major religions and work towards ensuring unity, peace and progress of the country.

Considering the many challenges bedeviling Nigeria, CAN expressed  optimism that the Nigerian Inter-Religious Council (NIREC) will become more vibrant and effective as to collaborate with the Federal Government in tackling the myriad ills plaguing the Nation.
