Billboards: kwara residents suggest sanctions against KWASAA

Kwara residents have called on Kwara state Governor, Abdulrahaman Abdulrasaq to sanction the Kwara Signage and Advertisement Agency (KWASAA), an agency in charge of the installation of bill boards in Kwara state over high level of yearly collapse of billboards in the state.

It would be recalled that heavy rainstorm destroyed billboards which claimed a life at Taiwo road near Oko-Erin junction few years ago.

As reported by our correspondent olarotimi oshin billboards collapsing is a common phenomenon at the raining season in kwara.

Some residents Mr Mohammed Aliu, Mrs Deborah Oluwagbemi noted that most of the billboards are usually constructed with poor iron.

They advocated that the agency should regulate iron to be used which they said should preferably erect at the road sides and not road median.

Our correspondent reports that the wreckage has been partial removed by the Kwara Signage and Advertisement Agency (KWASAA).
