The Lead Visioner, Jandor Foundation and Chairman, Core Media Group, Mr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran has showered encomiums on the member representing Badagry Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe for his unwavering efforts to get the government’s attention to fixing the dilapidated Badagry-Lagos road.
Adediran applauded the Member at a recent Jandor Foundation empowerment program held in Badagry, where artisan groups and associations across the Local government were empowered with work tools such as: hair clippers, sewing and grinding machines as well as cash gifts to kick start micro enterprises for self-reliance.
Also, various market women also received support from the foundation to boost their various trade businesses.
The Chairman also charged Badagry traditional rulers to prioritise the importance of the reconstruction of the road by taking a cue from the Alapa of Apa Kingdom, Oba Oyekan Adekanmi Akide who played a similar role by advocating for the reconstruction of the Owode – Apa road.
He reiterated that the state of the Badagry road is inimical to the progress of the great people of Badagry.
Whilst revealing the steps taken to advocate for the same cause, he noted and commended the role of Hon. Babatunde Hunpe who has also engaged officials of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) in Abuja to make findings about plans to fix the road.
According to Adediran, “I do not know and have never met Hon. Hunpe but because I am in Abuja have also made efforts to inquire, I discovered upon my visit to FERMA that he has also visited for the same purpose.”
He thanked the representative and encouraged him to continue until the situation was resolved. A few months ago, Olajide Adediran had called for quick fix of the Badagry road blaming its neglect on lack of emotional intelligence.
