Wizkid edges Davido, Mr Eazi, Tekno, others to win BET Awards Best International Act: Africa

Wizkid edges Davido, Mr Eazi, Tekno, others to win BET Awards Best International Act: Africa

It’s the second time the young star is winning the award.

Wizkid has been announced the winner of the BET International Act: Africa Award at a ceremony held in Los Angeles, California.

He beat fellow nominees which include Davido, Mr Eazi, Tekno, Stonebwoy, Nasty C, Babes Wodumo and AKA.

This would be the second time the singer has won in this category after going home with the award along with Sarkodie in 2012.

According to reports last week, Nasty C was reportedly announced the winner of the award by accident – but BET made sure to apologise for what they referred to as a ‘glitch’.

Wizkid was, however, unavailable to collect his award as he was absent from the event.
