As part of efforts to curb arbitrary spending by politicians in kwara state, the resident electoral commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission, kwara state chapter, Attahiru Madami has disclosed that the INEC is working with EFCC to curb financial recklessness in the state.
Speaking with journalist in Ilorin, Madami said the commission is concerned with the level of vote buying and other flagrant spending before and during election.
He therefore, advised politicians to desist from vote-buying or all forms of financial inducement, while also calling on kwara residents to shun selling of voters cards. He noted that a second party cannot use another person’s voter’s card to vote.
