The Kwara state chapter of the Association of National Accountant of Nigeria (ANAN) has frowned against the approval given to Federal Government by Governors of the 36 states to withdrawal 1b dolla from the Excess Crude Account to fight Boko Haram insurgents in the North-east.
Speaking with RoyalTimes correspondent at the Kwara state annual general meeting of the association, the chairman of the association, Deacon Jacob Abidun who said the previous claimed by the federal government that bokoharam had been defeated negates such withdrawer plan.
While noting that no nation can develop economically without adequate security, Jacob called on Federal Government to also prioritise the nation economy rather than spending such huge amount on security alone.
The association which conducted her election of new executives reelected Deacon Jacob Abiodun Ishola as the association chairman for the second term , saying his competency remains undoubtful.
Ishola who is a fellow certify national Accountant was pronounced as the new chairman by the National president of the association Usman Ladan who was represented by the association council chairmen Alhaji lawal Maru following his on opposed re-election.
Other executives elected at the annual general meeting of the association held in Ilorin include the sheu Baio as vice chairman, A. Aruna as secretary general, Ajia Ramat as treasurer, orekoya as financial secretary among others.
In his acceptance speech, the returned chairman, Abiodun Ishola commended members of the association for the confidence reposed on him to lead the association for the second term.
While praising God for making the election a hitch-free one, Ishola promised to focus on programmes which according to him will move the association to a greater height.
