FG owes 3,504 contractors, Fashola tells National Assembly

written by Taiwo Adediran November 12, 2020

The Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, said on Thursday that his ministry owed 3,504 contractors handlings its various housing projects, about sixty-nine point nine billion naira.

Fashola stated this when he appeared before the joint National Assembly Committee on Housing, to defend his ministry’s 2021 budget estimates.

He, therefore, said the seventy-six point four billion naira allocated to the ministry in 2021 would be grossly inadequate to execute 186 projects across the country.
