Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama has announced that issue of security of Nigerians living in South Africa will be part of discussion as President Cyril Ramaphosa, visits Nigeria today.
Onyeama who disclosed this in Abuja confirmed that South African President Ramaphosa would arrive Abuja today for a working visit to Nigeria.
While arguing that the Federal Government is working hard to ensure that lives of Nigerians living in South Africa are secured, Onyeama said he had met with his South African counterpart and discussed extensively about the security of Nigerians in the country and what has to be done to strengthen their safety.
He also said that Nigeria and South Africa are serious about the implementation of the early warning mechanism established to address the security issue in South Africa.
The Nigeria mission in South Africa had earlier on Sunday confirmed the killing of another Nigerian, Mr Ozumba Tochukwu-Lawrence by a gunman in South Africa
