Bolarinwa-led Kwara APC says newly formed coalition, an assembly of old, embittered politicians

Bolarinwa-led Kwara APC says newly formed coalition, an assembly of old, embittered politicians

The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by Honourable Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa has described the newly formed Coalition of United Political Party, CUPP, as a contraption of embittered and envious folks in the country’s political class.

In a statement personally signed by him, Bolarinwa said the political formation has no interest of the people at heart and comprises those who have lost out in the political space, due to their insatiable quest for power and those envious of the current head of government and its modest achievements.

“The assembly if, well assessed has two major blocs -those that have lost in the scheme of things, occasioned by insatiable quest for power and those that have been envious of the head of the current government and its modest achievements,” the statement read.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which was signed by the parties at the end of an enlarged meeting at the Yar ‘Adua Centre, Abuja, resolved among others, to field a joint presidential candidate against President Buhari.

While noting that those behind the coalition are in the habit of hopping from one party to the other, the APC state factional chairman said the coalition cannot stand the test of time because it was conceived with personal and unpatriotic reasons.

“The contraption can not travel far because it is conceived and wrapped with venom which meaningful Nigerians will never allow to deliver either now or later.

While also alleging that the coalition include brains behind the formation of the Reformed APC, responsible for the under-development of Kwara state in the last sixteen years, the former federal lawmaker, therefore implored Kwarans and Nigerians at large not to fall prey of their selfish antics.

“It is noteworthy, to remind Kwarans that, one those masquerades championing the movement of RAPC to the coalition has been responsible for the under development of the state in the last 16 years.

“What can be said to be manifesting in the real sense of it, is corruption fighting back.

“We will again, implore Kwarans not to fall prey of these “herdsmen politicians”,  whose major aim of being politics is to feather their own nest.”

Bolarinwa also assured that the party loyal to President Buhari will continue to guarantee development of the people and Kwara state.

“In view of this development, we call on all well meaning Kwarans desirous of positive change to come together and provide direction for sustainable development.”
