Zimbabwe Coach Aims for Victory in 2026 World Cup Qualifier Against Nigeria

Zimbabwe’s coach, Brito Beltarman, has emphasized his team’s determination to secure a victory against Nigeria on Sunday.

Both the Warriors and Nigeria had drawn their opening group matches against Rwanda and Lesotho.

As they prepare to face the Super Eagles, Zimbabwe recognizes the significance of a win to enhance their prospects in the qualifiers.

Coach Beltarman stated that his team is committed to playing for victory against Nigeria. He acknowledged the anticipation of Nigerian fans seeking revenge, especially since Nigeria had a draw in their initial game against Lesotho.

“At this level, all opponents play to win. Even we [Zimbabwe], will play for a win against Nigeria.

“People will expect revenge from Nigeria because they drew their first game[against Lesotho].

“But they are not playing against a small or weak nation. They will come strong, but we will come strong too. We are here to face them”, he said via ZIFA media handle,” he said.
