US rules out easing sanctions on Russia

The United States will not ease sanctions imposed on Russia over the conflict in Ukraine, US President Donald Trump’s top economic advisor said Friday at the G7 summit.

“We are not lowering our sanctions on Russia,” Gary Cohn told reporters. “If anything we would probably look to get tougher on Russia.”
