US Open: Tsitsipas, Ruud Crash Out, As Djokovic Progress To Round Three

US Open seventh seed Stefanos Tsitsipas lost 7-5 6-7 6-7 7-6 6-3 to Swiss qualifier Dominic Stricker on Wednesday as fifth seed Casper Ruud, also crashed out 4-6 7-5 2-6 6-0 2-6 to Chinese world number 67 Zhang Zhizhen.

Second seed Novak Djokovic who is aiming for a record-equalling 24th major title cruised through with a 6-4 6-1 6-1 win over Spain’s Bernabe Zapata Miralles.
