The management of the University of Ilorin has taken possession of a landed property willed to the institution by a deceased philanthropist, Alhaji Sulyman Lawal.
The building, a 7-bed-room detached house, which has a compliment of two self-contained boys-quarters, is sited on three plots of land.
Speaking at the event held at the location of the property in the Government Reservation Area (GRA), Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, paid glowing tributes to the memory of the late philanthropist for writing his name in gold through the donation of the property to the University of Ilorin.
The Vice Chancellor said that the University would forever remain grateful to the late Chairman of Sulyman Lawal Foundation for donating the house towards the advancement of knowledge and service to humanity.
Prof. Egbewole assured that the building would be used by the University for all that would promote teaching and learning as well as human capacity development.
