The Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq has approved the payment of fuel subsidy removal palliative to undergraduate students of Kwara State origin in public-owned tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

In reaction to the development, Undergraduate students in the state expressed relief to Royal FM correspondents saying it will ease the challenges faced by students as a result of the subsidy removal.

Adiku Peace, a student of university of Ilorin, stated that it is a good initiative as it will lessen the burden carried by parents and students.

Mubarak Ahmed, another student of Unilorin appreciated the government, adding that they should try to include students that are not indigenes of the state in the nearest future.

Oluwaseye, a student of Kwara state polytechnic also used the medium to encourage other state governments to emulate and adopt the initiatives of the Kwara state government.
