Raducanu, Gauff Set Up Australian Open Clash

Emma Raducanu made a positive return to court after her injury scare, moving into the second round of the Australian Open with a straight-set 6-3 6-2 win over Germany’s Tamara Korpatsch.

Raducanu will next face 18-year-old American Coco Gauff, who secured a 6-1 6-4 victory over Czech opponent Katerina Siniakova.

American third seed Jessica Pegula, secured an emphatic 6-0 6-1 victory over Romania’s Jaqueline Cristian while Switzerland’s Jil Teichmann beat Britain’s Harriet Dart 7-5 6-1 to move to the next round

In the men’s category, 1st seed Rafael Nadal defeated Britain’s Jack Draper in four sets 7-5 2-6 6-4 6-1, while Cameron Norrie also advanced with a 7-6 6-0 6-3 win over teenage French wildcard Luca van Assche.
