In response to growing concerns over the mass emigration of skilled workers from Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu sought to allay fears during his address in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, on Monday.
Speaking at the second term inauguration of Governor Hope Uzodimma, President Tinubu assured Nigerians that the Federal Government, in collaboration with sub-national entities, is committed to training more individuals to fill the professional void now evident in critical sectors such as health and technology.
RoyalTimes gathered the President emphasized the administration’s prioritization of education for children and youths, affirming that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is focused on addressing the skilled manpower shortage through strategic training initiatives.
“You see the priority in industrialisation. Healthcare will receive more allocation and more attention.
“Don’t worry about what you are hearing about the Japa syndrome, we will train more people and we will supply them self,” he said.
