Nigerian Army Says Terrorists Kidnap For Ransom, Warns Public Against Fake Recruitment

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, has noted that members of Boko Haram and Islamic State for West African Province have resorted to kidnapping for ransom and robbing citizens to keep up with their nefarious activities.

Lt. General Lagbaja stated this on Friday during his visit to Borno State to assess the security situation in the state, saying that the development is a discovery by the service of the new tactics used by terrorist organisations in the country.

Earlier in Abuja,  The Director, Army Public Relations, ONYEMA NWACHUKWU  dismissed as fake, an online advert by fraudulent individuals claiming to be conducting recruitment on behalf of the Nigerian Army, Navy and Air Force

According to NWACHUKWU, the fake recruitment was done by dubious individuals in the name of one Major General GWABIN MUSA.
