Naira Appreciates, Exchange At One Thousand Three Hundred Naira Per Dollar In Parallel Market

The naira on Thursday appreciated to one thousand three hundred naira per dollar in the parallel market from one thousand, three hundred and five naira per dollar on Wednesday.
However , the naira depreciated in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM) on Thursday to eight hundred and thirty-seven point four-nine naira per dollar.
Vanguard gathered that the data from FMDQ showed that the indicative exchange rate for the I&E window rose to eight hundred and thirty-seven point four-nine per dollar from eight hundred and one point one  in naira per dollar on Tuesday, indicating thirty-six point three-nine depreciation for the naira.
Consequently, the gap between the official and parallel market exchange rates narrowed to four hundred and sixty-two point  one  per dollar on Thursday.
