Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi has denounced the belief that his open support for President Muhammadu Buhari heralds a desire to decamp to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Umahi was speaking during a reception in his honour by the Old Afikpo Union (OAU) at the Government College, Afikpo.
He pointed out that his smooth paroles with President Buhari should not be mistaken to be a support for the APC.
Umahi stressed that he will continue to support the president, whom he said has good intention for the country.
He said, “My relationship with Mr. President should not be mistaken as support for another party. PDP remains a strong party, and the party to beat.
“PDP is our party and we will remain in it. Don’t shake at all for PDP is a good party and will continue to be so.”
Governor Umahi urged the people to continue to support President Buhari to move the country from its present position.
