Mobile Policeman Kills lover, Commits Suicide In Kwara

The Kwara State Police Command has reacted to the murder of a yet-to-be-identified woman by a Police Officer, who also shot himself dead in Ilorin on Thursday.

A statement by the spokesman of the State Police Command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, in Ilorin on Thursday, said an investigation has commenced into the incident.

According to the Police spokesperson, the police officer who is identified as Sergeant Olalere Michael went to Chapel of Redemption Agba Dam housing estate in Ilorin, shot and killed a yet-to-be-identified lady, then shot himself in the head.

He stated that the command acted swiftly after being informed of the incident, while the corpses of the deceased were recovered and deposited at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, where the bodies were certified dead. SP Okasanmi informed that “the deadly incident was an aftermath of love gone sour with nothing to do with police brutality.
