Kwara govt to install transformers for five more communities

Kwara State Commissioner for Energy, Honorable  Abdulwahab Femi Agbaje White has said the Ministry has secured an approval to install another set of transformers for five communities in the state.

In a statement on Thursday, the Commissioner listed the beneficiaries as Oke-Odo community, Erin-Ile in Oyun  local government; Offa General Hospital (Offa Local government ); Obbo- Ile community, Palace Area (Ekiti Local government); Oke-Ayewu community, in Shao (Moro Local government); and As-Sunnah Kutashi, Tanke Oke-Odo, in Ilorin South local government respectively.

This comes a few weeks after the administration directed the installation of 400 units of solar street lights and 18 transformers for several communities across the sixteen local governments of the state.

Royal Times reports that  Agbaje said the gesture was in furtherance of the government’s commitment to the wellbeing of the citizens, adding that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is sensitive to socio – economic development in all parts of the state.
