Dr. Shehu Usman Adam of the Department of Economics and Development Studies has been appointed the Acting Dean of the newly created Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, FMSS of Kwara State University, Malete.
The letter of appointment dated March 16, 2023 which was signed by the Registrar, Dr. Kikelomo Sallee, described Dr. Adam’s appointment as based on the recognition of his “exemplary leadership qualities and wealth of experience” all of which he is expected to bring to bear in the discharge of his duties as Acting Dean.
An Associate Professor of Environmental Economics and Applied Econometrics, Dr. Adam obtained a Ph.D. in Environmental Economics in 2015 from the Universiti Putra Malaysia, an M.Sc. Economics in 2010 from International Islamic University, Malaysia and a B.Sc. Economics from the University of Maiduguri in 2005.
Before joining the services of Kwara State University, Dr. Adam had worked in different institutions in Malaysia; the Federal University, Lokoja, Kogi State; Visiting Lecturer, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, Niger State; Federal University Gusau, Zamfara State; and the University of Maiduguri, Borno State.
