The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has called on customers in the Sango-Ota area of Ogun State to settle outstanding debts amounting to N28 billion.
The appeal was made by Mrs. Busolami Tunwase, the Lead Media Relations Officer at IBEDC, during a statement in Ota on Monday.
Tunwase stressed the importance of customers settling their bills promptly to ensure the provision of quality services.
RoyalTimes gathered that the district in Sango/Ota has accumulated a significant debt, impacting the ability of IBEDC to maintain and improve power supply in the area.
While urging customers to fulfill their financial obligations, Tunwase also cautioned against assaulting IBEDC workers during the discharge of their duties.
She emphasized that such actions would not be tolerated and could lead to legal consequences.
“We are still appealing to our esteemed customers to urgently pay their bills because what we have gotten is not much, compared to what is still out there,” she said.
