Atiku hires 19 SANs to challenge Tinubu’s victory

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP presidential election, Atiku Abubakar has hired a legal team comparing 19 Senior Advocates of Nigeria to challenge the outcome of the February 25 election.

Recall that Atiku and Peter Obi of the Labour Party had rejected the results of the presidential elections alleging that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC rigged the poll in favor of its candidate, Bola Tinubu.

The two aggrieved parties and their candidates had gone to court to seek redress.

Briefing newsmen in Abuja today, Atiku said about 19 SANs are already on ground to take up the case, asking them to “establish the claim of illegality in the election and reclaim the mandate of the Nigerian people.”

The former vice president declared that it is crucial to go through this process not just for himself and the PDP but also to reinforce constitutional democracy and safeguard it for future generations.
