Stanley Nwabali fully participated in training with his teammates on Thursday in preparation for the upcoming quarter-final clash against Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Head coach Jose Peseiro disclosed during his pre-match press conference that the Chippa United shot-stopper would undergo a late fitness test to determine his availability for the crucial game on Friday.
Nwabali, alongside goalkeepers Francis Uzoho and Ojo Olorunleke, engaged in all the drills during the training session. The 27-year-old goalkeeper, who has been in impressive form, is now a strong contender to start in the quarter-final encounter against the Palancas Negras.
