Ahead of the 2023 election, crisis hit the All Progressive Party Congress as one of the governorship aspirants, Alhaji Sani Sha’aban, protests against the congress which produced two thousand, six hundred and nineteen delegates in Kaduna.
According to the Appeal Committee led by Tinuke Gbadejo-Ogunrinde noted that a total of 1,275 delegates were elected for the local and state levels each adding that the exercise was done by consensus in accordance with APC’s elections guidelines and constitution, stating that no complaint was received on the election.
In response to this Sha’aban, an in-law to the President, Muhammadu Buhari , through his Director-General Sani Sha’aban Campaign Organisation, Chief Danladi Ephraim, kicked against the entire exercise claiming that no Delegate Primary Election that produced the 2,619 delegates was held anywhere across the state.
