In another development, unknown gunmen have reportedly abducted no fewer than 87 women, children, and others in a fresh attack on the Kajuru Station community in Kaduna State on Sunday night.
The community has been thrown into confusion and fear as some residents were reportedly seen on Monday, relocating due to fear of further attacks. Kajuru has suffered several attacks in recent times, and some locals are still in captivity.
Speaking to journalists, the Chairman of Kajuru Local Government Area, Ibrahim Gajere said the terrorists attacked at about 10 p.m. on Sunday, while they broke into some shops to steal food and other provisions.
Following an upsurge in the kidnap cases, the Chief Of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa arrived at the state government house on Monday, to meet with Governor Uba Sani, assuring that the abducted students, and those who were recently kidnapped by bandits at Kajuru, would soon be rescued.
