Social Democratic Party SDP in kwara  express dissatisfaction with  presidential and senatorial election

The Kwara state chapter of the Social Democratic Party SDP has expressed dissatisfaction with the saturday’s presidential and senatorial election.

The party while speaking with newsmen during a press conference held at the party Secretariat, the State Chairman Alhaji AbdulAzeez Afolabi said the elections, which was conducted by INEC under a tensed atmosphere of hunger and anger that was foisted on the Nigerian masses by the ruling APC.

The SDP explained that there was Malfunctioning of Biometric Voters Accreditation System (BVAS). Reports from some polling units which were confirmed by SDP agents, saying many of the electorate were disenfranchised because the BVAS malfunctioned.

They expressed concern that INEC did not follow it mandated in accordance with section sixty two subsection two of the Electoral Act, 2022 (as amended which said election results should be transmitted   electronically from polling units onto its website.
