Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio, following an attack to break into a military armoury in Freetown during the early hours of Sunday has called for support from citizens and political stakeholders.
President Bio characterized the incidents as an attempt to destabilize the state, with the majority of the perpetrators now in custody.
Addressing the nation on state television, he assured the public that “most of the leaders have been arrested” and will be held accountable, although specific details were not provided in the initial statement.
