Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the President of the 8th Nigerian Senate, has expressed profound sadness over the demise of Elder Peter Kishra, a former Deputy Governor of Kwara State.
Elder Kishra passed away late Friday night, leaving behind a legacy of service and dedication to the people of Kwara.
In a statement released by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Saraki extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and the entire community of Ilesha-Baruba in Barutten local government area of Kwara State.
Elder Kishra, who served as the deputy to the immediate past governor of the state, Alhaji Abdulfattah Ahmed, from May 29, 2011, to May 29, 2019, was hailed by Saraki as an accomplished politician and a respected community leader.
Describing the late statesman as a beacon of diligence and dedication, Saraki praised Elder Kishra’s unwavering commitment to serving Kwara and its people.
He remarked that throughout his tenure as deputy governor, Elder Kishra exemplified integrity, passion, and a deep sense of responsibility towards his constituents.
Saraki noted that Elder Kishra’s contributions to the development and progress of Kwara State will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of working with him.
He emphasized that the late deputy governor lived a fulfilled life dedicated to serving his creator and humanity.
