Kwara State is in mourning following the sad demise of the former Deputy Governor of the state, His Excellency Elder Peter Kisira, in the early hours of Saturday, March 30, 2024. Elder Kisira, aged 74, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated public service and exemplary leadership.
According to family accounts, Elder Kisira’s passing has left a void in the hearts of many, as he was recognized for his remarkable contributions to the development of Kwara State. Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq expressed deep sadness upon receiving the news of Elder Kisira’s death.
In a condolence message conveyed through his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, Governor AbdulRazaq extended heartfelt condolences to the people of Baruten and the family of Elder Kisira.
He urged them to find solace in the fine legacies left behind by the late Deputy Governor, who distinguished himself as a dedicated public servant and rose to the rank of Permanent Secretary in the state’s civil service.
Governor AbdulRazaq emphasized that Elder Kisira would be remembered for his commendable public service and unwavering commitment to good causes. He offered prayers for the repose of Elder Kisira’s soul and urged divine protection and comfort for the bereaved family.
