In a return to form, Real Sociedad forward Umar Sadiq is thrilled to rediscover his goal-scoring prowess after overcoming a cruciate ligament injury that kept him out for most of the 2022/23 campaign.
The 26-year-old Nigerian has netted twice in his last two LaLiga appearances, expressing optimism about his ongoing improvement throughout the season.
Speaking to his club’s website, Sadiq shared that he feels good about his goal, adding that after being out for a long time due to injury, he is getting better this season and will only improve as he plays more often.
Reflecting on Sociedad’s recent 1-1 draw against Granada, Sadiq acknowledged the challenges but expressed pride in the team’s performance, emphasising their resilience against formidable opposition.
Real Sociedad currently holds the sixth position on the La Liga table with 26 points from 15 matches.
