President Bola Tinubu has issued a directive to the Ministry of Education to incorporate graduates of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) into the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme and ensure their admission to the Nigerian Law School.
Guardian gathered the directive came during President Tinubu’s address at the 13th convocation ceremony of NOUN held at the Convocation Arena in Jabi, Abuja.
Addressing the gathering, Tinubu emphasized the need for equal opportunities for all graduates, regardless of their mode of education. President Tinubu’s directive, delivered through the Deputy Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Biodun Saliu, signifies a breakthrough for NOUN graduates.
The president affirmed that the government recognizes the changing demographics of the nation and the importance of granting NOUN graduates access to the NYSC scheme and the Nigerian Law School.
